ELIZABETH MCFADDEN
ABOUT ELIZABETH:
Many, but not all, family mediators are attorneys. And some CDFA®s are also CFP®s or CPAs. However, few divorce professionals are trained and accredited family mediators who also bring a deep bench of financial acumen. Elizabeth combines the backgrounds of family mediation, financial planning, and divorce financial analysis to her work as a family mediator, collaborative divorce professional, and divorce financial expert. She brings over 28 years of financial services experience in service to her clients. Elizabeth is an Atlanta native, she obtained her BA in Psychology from Rhodes College, and she began her career in financial services shortly thereafter.
In 2004, Elizabeth obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional designation. In 2008, she completed The International Association of Collaborative Professionals (or IACP)- approved training via The Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis, and from 2008-2020, she practiced both divorce planning alongside financial planning & wealth management. In 2015, Elizabeth was appointed by The State of Tennessee Supreme Court as a Rule 31 Listed Family & Civil Mediator. She also holds her CDFA® designation via The Institute of Certified Divorce Financial Analysts.® As a CFP® Professional, Elizabeth has taken the oath of Fiduciary; therefore, she is bound to always put her Clients’ best interests first.

Elizabeth relocated to the greater Seattle area in 2018 and launched her own private divorce practice in January of 2021. Given Elizabeth’s rich background in assisting financial planning & wealth management clients, along with her focus on divorce, Elizabeth is capable of aiding clients in even the most complex of divorce cases.

Elizabeth is former founding board member of Memphis Collaborative Alliance, current member of King County Collaborative Law, Collaborative Professionals of Washington, The Association of Professional Family Mediators, The Association of Divorce Financial Planners, and she serves on The Kitsap Community Foundation Investment Committee.

Elizabeth lives on the Kitsap Peninsula and in her free time she can be found hiking, swimming, paddling, and just about anything involving the great outdoors. She is an avid gardener, knitter, and she is proud mom to a University of Washington alumna and a Peninsula College Pirate.
